Ocean Sea; A Review of Existing Literature
A masterpiece by Alessandro Baricco
This book has a special place in my heart.
I read it some time ago, and truth be told, I don't quite remember the plot anymore.
Something about a love lost or love gained and a cast of eclectic characters at a seaside inn.
But I do remember the feeling I had reading it.
Blissful appreciation of its beauty. Kudos to the author and the translator.
The rhythm and flow of its words gently rock you as if on a boat upon a serene sea, lifts you up on a gentle wave.
I have never come across writing quite as entrancing before, and have not since.
More people need to read this, experience this. This is why I read.
It's poetry.
