Bringing Babies to Jewel, Changi's Canopy Park

Canopy Park at Jewel, Changi Airport, the first of many places to bring my baby twins. There's only so many times I can carry them around the block before they get bored.

Standard rates for Singaporeans 4.50, SAFRA has a promo for 3. Free for babies.

We got in via a promotion that grants entry with any same day receipt at Jewel, regardless of sepnd. So we bought otah from B2 for 80 cents.

Even full price, it's not too expensive if you consider the price split between you and your baby twins, just put it on their tab, add it to the long list of things they already owe you for, and when they turn 18 you let them know how much it works out to. That might even be their first real life experience with compounded interest, a real teachable moment; sure the seized ang baos may have helped cover the interest, but the principal sum, well that hardly budged.

The Canopy Park has paid attractions within this already paid attraction such as the Sky Nets, Mirror Maze and Hedge Maze. There is a slide that's complimentary. All of these are obviously not suitable for babies.

So, what's fun to do for the babies.

Not much really, they're babies.

There are two little gardens for the babies to waddle through, and a little pond to take cute pictures.

The main attraction would be the Foggy Bowls. It's a undulating terrain of artificial grass with little valleys where hidden smoke machines spew out foggy whirls. The kids love it, babies too. The only problem is that it is understandably crowded, and the toddlers/ preschoolers are quite loosely supervised, they tend to run from foggy bowl to foggy bowl, so make sure your babies don't get trampled by them. Super cute pictures to be taken here. And let's face it, that's why your babies are here, for the gram. Go in the morning for the beautiful golden light.

Silly boy trying to catch smoke

Canopy Park is noisy, so even if your babies cry, no one's going to look twice. The place is great for kids to be kids.

Jewel has an excellent baby changing room, super spacious and very importantly, clean, with enough booths to change both your twins at once!

So is it worth the trouble if you stay all the way in Jurong and have to pay full price?

It is super baby friendly, walk ways big enough for a double stroller, nursing room is clean and big.

I enjoyed it tremendously and I suppose the babies did too, since they didn't whine. It's a nice clean, cooling experience which is super important in humid Singapore. However the price might be a bit steep, because it's a pretty short walk, and the babies don't particularly care much, I would still go to Jewel to walk around but probably not back to Canopy Park until they are 2-3 years older.
